Frequently Asked Questions about Intensive Outpatient Program
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: DOES INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM INCLUDE DETOX?
Your important initial clinical assessment will determine your suitability for the IOP treatment program. In some situations, detox may be required. If medically-supervised detox is required, you will learn the specifics of that requirement for your custom treatment plan, and you will be referred to available professional detox services that are a fit for your situation, prior to starting the IOP program. You will also receive important, helpful counseling about your needs and treatment options as part of your assessment.
Q: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INPATIENT TREATMENT AND OUTPATIENT TREATMENT?
At an inpatient treatment facility, you live in institutional facility while receiving treatment; at Square One Addiction Programs, you either live in a nearby sober living residence or at your own home. Typically, inpatient rehabs last for 30 to 60 days. Often, this is not enough time to treat years of addiction. At Square One, we build on the work of inpatient treatment centers by providing continuing treatment and education so that the recovering addict may learn to manage their addictive behavior and how to reintegrate into their community. The benefits of an outpatient program like Square One, is that you can can continue getting treatment while getting back to your job, life, and family obligations. Our clinical and evidence-based program allows for this convenience while still offering a superior level of care.
